Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative at Datatrak isn't your typical "SDR" role. We are looking for an individual who can execute the responsibilities of a SDR, while proactively onboarding knowledge and responsibilities. You will be supported and encouraged to grow with every opportunity because we want you to be closing business within 12 months. As an SDR you will identify and engage prospects through outbound prospecting, social selling, networking, events and other activities to generated meaningful relationships and opportunities for our company’s and your growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads
  • Support senior sales teams on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Attend product training and continually develop an understanding of our market place and competitive advantage
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant business development experience
  • Flawless communication skills, both written and oral
  • Working knowledge of the Life Sciences industry and eClinical marketplace
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls every day
  • Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
  • Have experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce.com and other prospecting applications
  • Thorough understanding of commercial awareness and brand recognition to successfully establish rapport with prospect
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area
